Medium, Medium strong, very good pigment and good expression. Normal withers, firm back, short and steep croup. Good chest proportions, good angulation front and rear. Steps straight in front and rear. Good movement with good front reach and good rear drive. Sure temperament, TSB pronounced; does out.

Otto (call name Shasta) was owner-handler-trained by Dave MacDougall of KS, who was a first-time handler.
Otto & Dave earned SchH1 on 11-28-2009 under Judge Johannes Grewe. Over the next few years, they completed SchH3 & received the following top marks;
V = (Vorzüglich (Ger.) - Excellent - Show rating awarded in working class only. Also a SchH rating awarded to dogs who score 96 points or more out of 100 in SchH competition).
Kkl. 1 Lbz = (Kkl1 - the dog is especially recommended for breeding). Lbz = (Lebenzeit (Ger.) = for life - The result of a Breed Survey (Körklasse) is for life (normally after the second Survey).
Dave has stayed active on some level in the sport the years after Otto passed, writing published articles on Tracking for Schutzhund USA magazine. He is a Classified Tracklayer at (Teaching level) for competitions, currently listed on the United Schutzhund Clubs of America website under Classified Tracklayer section.

We are proud of this dog and all Dave accomplished with him. We selected and sent the owner a strong dog. Even though he titled in top level schutzhund, by no means was Otto "just a sport dog". His owner should also be very proud of the success he had with him as Otto was a lot of dog for a first-time handler.
