What we are most proud of on these males is their character & trainability, how they treat other people/dogs and how they present themselves in public & at home. They are good representatives of the breed and should produce this in their offspring.
From a large litter with owners reporting stellar character & good health to date. There is a wonderful, willingness to work WITH the handler and ability to train in different areas with drive and focus. Very strong retrieve, prey/ball drive, a nice level of push/persistence in wants with very good scent/hunt ability. One male loves agility, has been tracking and demonstrates nose down-methodical work and good hunt ability. The other male performs excellent in scent trial’s achieving numerous titles before 1 yr of age & has earned his Rally Novice B title in his 14th month of age with absolutely fabulous scores of 100/99/97! Both show appropriate protective instinct (aggression), watchful of territory, are controllable & biddable dogs who can easily settle in households of multi dogs, owned/trained by people who have titled numerous dogs over the years in various disciplines. Both are within the breed standard of size, are enjoyable dogs to train & spend time with, have big personalities with looks to match.
Excellent hip & elbow health along with physical good looks have pleased owners and caught attention of countless strangers in public & at trials who have made a point to make positive comment. The veterinarian who performed the radiographs, took time out from their day to email us praise for breeding such outstanding hips.
From a strong-successful sire line, sire Xurk, grandsire Zoot, great-grandsire our foundation male SG Rocky Venusina sopka (son of renown Tom z Pohranicni straze), a bloodline that has reliably and consistently produced quality working dogs!
Dam Stormy brings in working blood from German, Netherland and CZ kennels, some of which are

Cindi & Kobuk receive a perfect score of 100 for their 1st leg in Rally Novice B! They went on to earn their Rally Novice title with simply outstanding scores of 100/99/97 and this young male is just in his 14th month of age!
….He was relaxed hanging out in his crate with all the other dogs and activity with temps getting pretty toasty this afternoon. Got him out a couple times to stretch his legs. And when it was time for him to work, he was terrific. This is where you as his breeder come into the picture. To have a relaxed dog that doesn’t get stressed is wonderful. They can focus on the job at hand. I consider myself a decent trainer but nothing outstanding. Having a dog that I don’t have to overcome environmental issues makes it a relatively easy job to train.

Littermate JAKE
Ramona,
You bred a beautiful, intelligent dog and probably litter as well. Jake is very driven, smart, very very very energetic. He sleeps with our other older dog in the downstairs level where there is a dog door to an enclosed kennel. It seems he doesn't need much sleep as he awakens about 4a.m. and is ready and pacing for his 5 a.m. breakfast. He just completed a second round of obedience training where he was introduced to commotion at a local park. He is a beautiful shepherd and my wife, who was hesitant to getting another dog, absolutely loves him. He will be an excellent companion on her hikes and I wish I could get him to join me in my tractors. He is probably about 70+ pounds, very lean long and tall, and a voracious eater. I'm so glad we got him from you.Hope you and family are well as well as the cool animals.
I appreciate you reaching out.

Kobuk and Jack, first get together since they were 8 weeks of age. Enjoyable dogs & visit!
Ramona,
What a great young dog and representative of a German Shepherd. Other people and dogs don’t bother him at all, zero reactivity, he is perfect for traveling and being in public. His focus for a 9-month-old male is truly exceptional.
Kobuk qualified 6 for 6 entries, placed in all; 3 - firsts, 2 - seconds, 1 - third and earned his title in Novice Interiors.
As I’ve said before…you’ve given me great raw material to work with.

Littermate HILDY
Hi Ramona,
Hildy is doing great! Super smart and incredibly athletic. She is a keeper! Hope your Easter went well.

There is no perfect dog! A breeder is always making compromises / adjustments in some area, aiming for good health, temperament and trainability. Nonetheless, it is always nice to receive kind words on one's work. This time it was extra special as it comes from a top-rated veterinarian who sees countless x rays, whose hospital was voted 2024 Best Veterinary Clinic in the state of Montana, who took time out of their busy day to compliment us on a dog from our kennel!
“….These hips for PennHIP were some of the tightest I've seen for a while- especially for a German Shepherd. Great job breeding for those! Let us know if you have any questions or concerns,

Littermate SHADOW
Hi Ramona
Shadow is a fantastic young dog. Great temperament, we love her guarding instincts and very chill in the house for her age. She’s been good with people of all ages, especially my 1 yr old nephew. Everyone who has visited our house has been very complimentary on her character.

Littermate GABI
Gaby loves the water. She has great temperament, loves to visit the neighbor kids and things are going well with the chickens and ducks.

Littermate FREYA
Hello Ramona,
Freya is a great youngster, very smart and easy to train.
I took her shopping not too long ago and she did really well, every time I stopped to look at something she would lay down and wait until I was ready to go. I was very proud of her!
She is doing a great job around my 10-month-old granddaughter. As you can see she is already very comfortable around her.
She is a great addition to our family.
Thank you!
Best regards, Jutta

Much accomplished by these two at only 11 months of age! Fantastic job Cindi of raising and training a happy, willing working dog. And to Kobuk, for bringing such joy to all who see & encounter him and being a wonderful, beautiful example of the German Shepherd breed.
