~ ROCKY VENUSINA SOPKA ~

Rocky has offspring working worldwide: police, detection, search and rescue, and has proved themselves to be successful in the areas of sport; SchH (competing at National Level), agility, competition tracking, obedience and personal/family protection homes.
Rocky's offspring has been placed as foundation stock into many serious working dog breeding programs. The highest honor being the recognition of Rocky's genetics by the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police Dog Breeding Program)  who purchased Rocky's daughter Rhea of Sapphire Mountain.  Rhea will be used in their breeding program for the production of Police dogs.  And the New Zealand Police Dog Breeding Centre who has purchased frozen semen from Rocky's son Santo of Sapphire Mountain. As of 2011, Rocky is still living at the age of well over 13 years and has been a healthy dog throughout his life. As a stud dog, Rocky consistently produced as good or better than himself in his offspring. Rocky has been without a doubt the finest dog I have owned and used for breeding, and I have had some nice dogs in my program!

Rocky is a handsome bi-colored German Shepherd male with strong original conformation type.  He possesses beautiful pigment, a elegant masculine head type, a correct ear set along with a proportionate and athletic working structure.  He is a very strong working dog with excellent nerves and versatility in his working abilities.  He is a passionate retriever and an excellent tracker.  He has strong hard defense accompanied with super well-balanced working drives.  Rocky has a strong love and will to work and is very agile and tenacious while working.  He is very self confident and possesses excellent social behavior. 
 

Rocky’s father, the legendary Tom z Pohranicni Straze; a Czech Police Dog and producer of many Police Dogs is without argument, one of the most successful stud dogs used in the breed of working dogs. In 1999 Tom became the Winner of The International Stud Dog Show in Bratislava, Slovakia. (this is one of the largest working stud dog shows in Europe).
Rocky’s mother, Hobby Venusina Sopka; FH 2, OP 1, IPO 3, IPO -FH, Czech National Participant. Rocky’s pedigree is full of strong working and producing dogs, Cordon An-Sat, a great producer of many outstanding working dogs in Slovakia/ the very influential DDR producing stud dog, Iwo v.d. Buschecke,/ and the great Klara z Pohranicni Straze to name a few.  Rocky’s mother, Hobby Venusina Sopka  along with her grandfather Cir z Vrtovske Doliny has competed numerous times on the Czech Republic and European levels.  Hobby possesses the old Czech working blood of the dog Dar z Przma,  who in his time was the most successful producer of working dogs in Czechoslovakia.
